Our Work
Signpost Collective began as a few university friends befriending uncles and aunties selling tissue packets.
Now, our volunteers in Signpost Collective continue to befriend Singapore's informal street sellers while also raising awareness of their joys and struggles.

Awareness Raising
Information Gathering

As volunteers, we walk around various neighbourhoods and chat with the informal street sellers in the area. Our regular interactions are aimed at listening to how they've been the past week and better understand their needs.

Through sharing about our work during volunteer events and through social media posts, we aim to increase awareness, dispel misinformation regarding our informal street seller community, and educate members of the public on how we can best support them.
By recording down the basic details of street sellers such as their location and whether they use mobility devices, we are able to better render assistance to hem and link them to relevant organisations.
One such example was our island-wide peddler survey during Operation Home Run.
